Sioma Ngwezi National Park is a remote protected area in Zambia’s Western Province that conserves miombo woodland, riverine habitats and seasonally flooded plains. It supports populations of large mammals including elephant, buffalo and a range of savanna species, and is known for low visitor numbers and extensive wilderness.

Wildlife in the park includes migratory and resident species adapted to woodland and floodplain habitats; predators and large herbivores are present but sightings can be seasonal. The park has few developed tourist facilities and is managed for conservation and low-intensity tourism.

The national park lies in western Zambia near the borderlands with Angola and Namibia, occupying a broad, sparsely populated landscape of woodlands and seasonal wetlands. The nearest regional centres are distant and overland access can be lengthy, reflecting the park’s remoteness.
