How to Get to Sigatoka
Sigatoka on Viti Levu is most easily reached via Nadi International Airport (NAN) with a direct road transfer of about an hour. There is no rail service; intercity buses and private shuttles are the normal way to travel between towns on the west coast.
Nadi International Airport (NAN): Nadi is Fiji’s main international gateway. Road travel from Nadi to Sigatoka on Viti Levu typically takes about 50-75 minutes (≈55-75 km) depending on traffic. Options include private taxi transfers (approx. FJD 120-180 one-way) and shuttle vans; prices vary by operator.
Suva / Nausori (SUV) connections: Suva (Nausori Airport) lies further east; travel to Sigatoka from Suva by road takes roughly 2-2.5 hours (depending on traffic) and is usually done by coach or private transfer rather than by air.
Train: Fiji has no passenger rail network on Viti Levu.
Bus / Coach: Public and private buses run frequently along Queens Road between Nadi and Sigatoka. Local buses (and minivan services) typically take about 1-1.5 hours and are inexpensive - fares are commonly in the range of FJD 3-8 depending on vehicle type and exact pickup/drop-off points. Private shuttle coaches from Nadi airport to west-coast resorts and Sigatoka are also available (higher fares but direct service).

Sigatoka’s town center is compact and easy to walk, especially around the market and riverfront.
