How to Get to Navua
Navua is best reached by road from Suva (Nausori) or Nadi. If you fly into Nadi, plan for a long coach or taxi transfer; if you can get to Suva/Nausori first the onward trip to Navua is short and regular buses make it easy and very inexpensive.
Nadi International (NAN): Nadi is Fiji’s main international gateway. From Nadi to Navua by road is about 80-90 km and normally takes 1.75-2.5 hours depending on stops; intercity coaches and shared minibuses are the cheapest option (typical fares FJD 5-10), while private taxis or transfers cost substantially more (roughly FJD 120-200 for a direct transfer).
Nausori/Suva (SUV): Nausori Airport (closer to Suva) is the best option for Navua if you can connect via domestic flights. From Nausori/Suva to Navua is roughly 20-35 km and typically 30-45 minutes by car; local buses run between Suva and Navua for low fares and taxis are readily available for the shorter transfer (approx FJD 30-50).
Train: Fiji has no passenger rail network.
Bus: Regular buses and minibuses run along Queens Road between Suva and towns to the west, including Navua. From Suva the trip is about 30-45 minutes and fares are low (often FJD 1.50-3 depending on vehicle and distance). Longer intercity coaches between Nadi and Suva also stop in towns along the route - these take ~2-2.5 hours Nadi-Navua and cost around FJD 5-10.

Navua town is linear along the main road and easy to get around on foot for short trips around the center. Local minibuses and taxis connect Navua with Suva and other towns on Viti Levu.
