Train: Oman does not have an operational national passenger rail network in regular service that connects Muscat to Shinas.
Bus: Mwasalat (Oman’s national bus company) operates long-distance bus services linking Muscat with northern governorates; coaches and intercity bus services run to towns along the Al Batinah coast - check Mwasalat timetables for exact routes and times to Shinas or nearby towns. Travel time by road from Muscat is several hours.
