How to Get to Serra Malagueta #

Serra Malagueta Natural Park is on the island of Santiago. From the island capital Praia you drive northwest toward Assomada and then follow local roads and signs to the park (the drive from Praia to the Assomada/Serra Malagueta area is typically about 40-60 km and under 2 hours depending on route and stops). Regular shared taxis (aluguers) and local minibuses run from Assomada toward villages on the park’s edges; from the local roadheads short hikes (from 10-30 minutes) lead into the park.
