About Serra de Itabaiana National Park
Serra de Itabaiana National Park is a protected area in Sergipe state that conserves the Serra de Itabaiana ridge and surrounding Atlantic Forest fragments. The park preserves rocky outcrops, forested slopes and small rivers in a largely hilly landscape.
Trails, lookouts and seasonal waterfalls within the park make it a regional destination for hiking, rock climbing and nature observation, with vegetation typical of Atlantic Forest and cerrado transition zones. Recreational uses are concentrated on marked trails and picnic areas rather than large built facilities.
