How to Get to Lagarto
Lagarto is straightforward to reach by bus from Aracaju; the town lacks passenger rail connections and relies on intercity coaches and road transfers for most arrivals.
Santa Maria/Aracaju (AJU): Aracaju is the nearest major airport for Sergipe. From Aracaju airport take an intercity bus or private transfer to Lagarto - typical bus travel is about 1-1.5 hours and fares usually fall in the R$10-R$30 range.
Maceió/Zumbi dos Palmares (MCZ) or other regional airports: Depending on routing, travellers sometimes use regional airports in neighbouring states, but Aracaju (AJU) is the most convenient for public transport to Lagarto.
Train: Lagarto is not served by passenger rail; rail infrastructure in the state is mainly freight oriented.
