How to Get to Şereflikoçhisar#
Şereflikoçhisar is most practically reached via Ankara (Esenboğa Airport and Ankara’s intercity bus terminal). From Ankara city or its bus terminal you take a provincial bus to the district - rail is not a direct option for the final leg.
Ankara Esenboğa Airport (ESB): Esenboğa is the nearest major airport for Şereflikoçhisar. From ESB you can take the HAVAS airport shuttle to AŞTİ (Ankara intercity bus terminal) - the shuttle takes about 45-60 minutes and fares are typically in the ₺20-40 range - then catch a regional bus from AŞTİ to Şereflikoçhisar (journey ~45-75 minutes, fares usually ₺20-45). A direct taxi from ESB to Şereflikoçhisar is possible (approx. 70-90 minutes) but will be substantially more expensive.
Istanbul airports (IST/SAW): Some travellers arrive via Istanbul and then take an overnight or daytime intercity bus to Ankara, changing there for a local bus to Şereflikoçhisar; this is longer but an alternative if flight options to Ankara are limited.
Train: Şereflikoçhisar does not have a major intercity rail station; the fastest rail access to the general area is into Ankara. From Ankara you continue by bus.
