Sennaya Square

Sennaya Square (Sennaya Ploshchad) is a historic public square in central Saint Petersburg, Russia, originally developed in the 18th century as a market area. It has long been one of the city’s commercial and transport focal points.

The square today is a busy urban node with shops, street markets and frequent pedestrian traffic, and it sits adjacent to a major metro interchange. It is well known locally for its market history and for connections to surrounding historic neighbourhoods.
