How to Get to Sellye#
Sellye is best reached via Pécs (regional airport or rail hub) with a final bus or taxi from Pécs to Sellye. Public transport is available but can be slow; a car makes travel simpler.
Pécs-Pogány Airport (PEV): Pécs has a small regional airport; international options are limited. From PEV you travel by taxi or bus to Pécs city centre (15-25 minutes) then regional buses toward Baranya County villages and Sellye (total travel time ~60-90+ minutes).
Budapest (BUD): For more international flights use Budapest and continue by train or bus to Pécs, then a local bus/taxi to Sellye (overall travel time ~3-4 hours from the airport).
Train: The nearest major rail hub is Pécs; from Pécs there are regional buses to Sellye (Sellye does not have heavy rail links). Trains to Pécs from Budapest take roughly 3-3.5 hours and are comfortable; expect to transfer to a bus for Sellye.
Bus: Regional buses from Pécs to Sellye are the primary public connection. Fares are modest and travel times depend on the exact service-plan for at least an hour from Pécs.

- Train (to Pécs) (2,000-5,000 HUF) - Trains to Pécs from Budapest and other Hungarian cities are comfortable and reliable, but you will need a bus or taxi for the last stretch to Sellye. Use MÁV services for scheduling.
