A rugged, largely natural shoreline with no tourist infrastructure or services. The islet is primarily of interest to private boaters, naturalists and people doing coastal navigation or island-hopping.
There is no recorded modern settlement on Schiza and it does not have a history of permanent habitation in recent times; it has served as part of the regional archipelago and coastal geography of the Peloponnese.
Situated off the southwestern coast of the Peloponnese in the Ionian/West Greek maritime area, reachable only by boat from the nearest mainland ports and harbors along the Peloponnese coast.
