Saturna Island

Saturna Island is one of the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada, and is the easternmost of that island group. It is known for its rugged coastline, coastal trails, and pockets of protected habitat within the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve.

Notable visitor features include the East Point shoreline with rocky cliffs, trails, and marine viewing points, and the small harbour settlement around Lyall Harbour which serves as the main landing and service area. Outdoor activities on the island include hiking, birdwatching, and coastal exploration, with marine and intertidal life visible from the shore.

The island has long-standing First Nations connections and later European settlement; it has been used for small-scale farming, seasonal fishing, and maritime activities. Parts of the coastline are now managed for conservation within the national park reserve.

Saturna lies in the Salish Sea between Vancouver Island and the San Juan Islands, off southeastern Vancouver Island in British Columbia. It is part of the Gulf Islands chain and is reached by small-boat services and scheduled ferries to Lyall Harbour.
