Best Time to Visit Sassandra #

For dependable beach weather aim for December-March during the dry Harmattan season. Rainy periods (May-July and Sept-Nov) bring lush landscapes but can disrupt travel with heavy showers.

Long Rainy Season
May - July · 24°C to 28°C (75°F to 82°F)
Heavy seasonal rains dominate, turning forests verdant; coastal roads can be muddy and boat schedules shift frequently, plan for delays.
Short Rain
September - November · 24°C to 28°C (75°F to 82°F)
Second rainy period brings showers and humid heat; fewer tourists and flourishing vegetation make it atmospheric despite travel hiccups often.
Harmattan Dry Season
December - March · 23°C to 31°C (73°F to 88°F)
Dry Harmattan season means clearer skies, cooler mornings, dusty haze some days, and more consistent beach weather excellent for strolls.
