How to Get to Saratoga National Historical Park #
Saratoga National Historical Park (the Saratoga battlefield) is located near Schuylerville in upstate New York, just off NY State Routes 29 and 32. From Saratoga Springs it’s about a 12‑mile drive (roughly 20 minutes); from Albany it’s roughly 35-40 miles (about 45 minutes) via I‑87 and local roads.
Public transit is limited: the nearest Amtrak/rail service is Saratoga Springs, from which you will need a taxi or local bus to reach the park (the park’s Visitor Center is a short drive from Schuylerville).

- Begin at the park's visitor center to watch the orientation film and pick up a map and ranger-program schedule-this makes navigating the battlefield and locating interpretive stops much easier.
