Sangster International Airport

The airport uses a single passenger terminal with separate processing areas for arrivals and departures. Most visitors travel between the airport and resorts or Montego Bay by taxi or pre-arranged hotel shuttle; transfers typically take 15-45 minutes depending on the resort location.

• Shuttles / transfers: Many resorts offer direct transfers booked with your booking agent - often the simplest option for tourists.
• Taxis: Official taxis and metered/flat‑rate vehicles operate outside arrivals; fares to nearby resorts and Montego Bay vary widely (typical transfers often fall in the USD 20-40 range, longer transfers cost more).
• Car hire: Multiple car-rental desks are located in the terminal.
• Local buses: There are local minibuses to Montego Bay and surrounding towns, but schedules and stops are less convenient for tourists with luggage.

The terminal provides duty-free shopping, currency exchange, ATMs, cafes and quick-service restaurants in both landside and airside areas. Basic passenger services such as information desks and car-rental counters are available. Wi‑Fi coverage is provided in parts of the terminal (often with time or data limits). Lounges are limited outside peak tour-operator seasons.
