How to Get to Xam Neua
Xam Neua (Sam Neua) in northeastern Laos is a remote provincial capital best reached by a limited domestic flight when available or by long overland bus from Vientiane or Luang Prabang. Road travel is common but lengthy.
Sam Neua Airport (XSN) / Sam Neua (domestic): Xam Neua (Sam Neua) has a small domestic airport used for occasional flights from Vientiane or Luang Prabang-check Lao Airlines schedules as services are limited and seasonal. From the airport the town centre is a short taxi ride.
