Mersa Matruh / Marsa Matruh Airport (MUH): Marsa Matruh is the nearest airport to Sallum for regional flights; overland travel from MUH to Sallum is a long highway journey (several hours) and usually done by bus or private car. Expect multi-hour travel times and limited daily services.
Alexandria / Cairo airports (HBE / CAI): Larger airports in Alexandria and Cairo provide more international connections, but overland travel to Sallum from these cities is very long (many hours/days) and typically done via long-distance coach or private transfer along the North Coast Road.
