How to Get to Salina Cruz#
Salina Cruz (Oaxaca) is a coastal port town best reached by road from nearby airports such as Huatulco (HUX) or by long‑distance bus from Oaxaca and other regional centres. There is no regular passenger rail service to the town.
Bahías de Huatulco International Airport (HUX): Huatulco (HUX) is one of the nearest commercial airports to Salina Cruz, about 120-150 km away by coastal roads; driving time is typically 2-3 hours depending on route. From Huatulco you can rent a car or take a bus toward Salina Cruz; private transfers will be more expensive but faster.
Oaxaca Xoxocotlán Airport (OAX): Oaxaca City (OAX) is another option but it’s farther by road (about 5-6 hours driving) and not usually the most direct route to Salina Cruz.
