Saklıkent National Park in Antalya Province, Turkey, protects a steep limestone gorge and surrounding Mediterranean woodlands and karst landscape. The gorge is the park’s primary attraction and draws day visitors for short hikes and canyon experiences.

The park’s main visitor route leads into the narrow, towering gorge where wooden walkways and shallow sections of river create the principal walking experience. Picnic areas and short trails around the canyon provide additional options for visitors who do not venture deep into the gorge.

The park sits inland within Antalya Province in southwestern Turkey and is accessed by road from nearby coastal towns and regional transport hubs.

• Visiting season and equipment: The lower canyon walkways are best visited in late spring to early autumn when water levels are lower and access paths are open; sturdy footwear is recommended for the boardwalk and river crossings.

• Saklıkent Gorge: The main feature is the Saklıkent Gorge, a deep limestone canyon where visitors walk along wooden platforms and sometimes wade in the river that runs through the canyon during the warmer months.

About 45-60 km from Fethiye or approximately 60-80 km from Antalya depending on route. Regular minibuses from Fethiye and Dalyan operate seasonally; most visitors arrive by car via the D400 and local roads toward Seydikemer.

• Go in the late afternoon when the light filters into the canyon and the heat eases; guided canyon treks leave from the park entrance.
• The walking wooden platforms can be slippery-water shoes or light hiking sandals with grip are recommended.
• Many visitors combine Saklıkent with a trip to nearby Tlos or Xanthos; plan for a full-day excursion from Fethiye.
