How to Get to Saïdia
Saïdia on Morocco's Mediterranean coast is best reached by road from regional airports such as Nador (NDR) or Oujda (OUD). There is no local rail service; buses and grand taxis are the common public transport options.
Oujda Angads Airport (OUD) / Nador (NDR) / Melilla (MLN) for cross‑border arrivals: Saïdia has no airport; the nearest airports on the Moroccan side are Nador (NDR) and Oujda (OUD), and Melilla (Spanish) is also used by some travellers. From Nador or Oujda the drive to Saïdia is roughly 1-2 hours by car or taxi depending on the route and border crossing.
Al Hoceima and Berkane (regional airfields): These are other regional options but have limited schedules; transfers by road are required to reach Saïdia.
Train: There is no direct railway to Saïdia; the nearest major rail access is in Oujda (on Morocco’s rail network) which you can use as a starting point for road transfer.
Bus / Grand Taxi: Intercity buses and grand taxis connect Oujda, Nador and Berkane with Saïdia. Buses are affordable and cover the main routes; grand taxis are shared or private and widely used for the last leg. Journey times vary by origin and border traffic if applicable.
How to Get Around Saïdia #
Saïdia’s resort strip and marina area are walkable, especially along the beachfront. Local taxis and shared transport connect Saïdia with nearby towns and Oujda; buses serve longer routes. During high season, many visitors rely on hotel shuttles. Local taxi fares are affordable; negotiating or confirming prices first is common practice.
