How to Get to Rrëshen
Rrëshen is most easily reached by road from Tirana International Nënë Tereza (TIA); there is no direct passenger rail service. Buses and shared minibuses connect the town with Tirana and nearby Lezhë, while taxis or private transfers are faster but cost substantially more.
Tirana International Nënë Tereza (TIA): The main international gateway for northern Albania. From TIA you can take a taxi or private transfer to Rrëshen (drive ~1.5-2 hours; taxis typically €70-€100 depending on vehicle). There are also intercity buses from Tirana’s north/coach stations to Rrëshen; journey time by bus is about 1.5-2 hours and fares are modest (a few euros).
Train: There is no regular long-distance passenger rail service directly to Rrëshen; Albania’s passenger rail network is limited in this area.
Bus: Buses and minibuses (furgons) run to Rrëshen from Tirana, Lezhë and nearby towns. Expect 1.5-2 hours from Tirana with fares typically in the low single-digit-euro range; verify departure points at Tirana’s north coach station (Autobusat e Rrugës) or the Rinas area.
