Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort is a ski and mountain-resort complex in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, located in the Krasnaya Polyana area near Sochi. It is one of the principal Alpine facilities developed for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
Developed in the 2000s and completed in stages before the 2014 Winter Olympics, the resort was built as part of a wider program to host Olympic alpine events and to create year-round mountain tourism near Sochi. Construction included new lift systems, hotels and transport links to integrate the site with the Krasnaya Polyana valley.
The resort sits on the slopes of the Aibga Ridge in the Western Caucasus, within Krasnaya Polyana, roughly 40 km inland from central Sochi and set in steep, forested mountain terrain.

How to Get to Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort #
Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort is in the Krasnaya Polyana area near Sochi. The resort is reachable by road from Sochi/Adler (Sochi International Airport) by a mountain highway; the drive is commonly about 30-60 minutes depending on traffic.
There is also rail service on the Adler-Krasnaya Polyana line with a station serving the Rosa Khutor resort area, and regular shuttle buses/taxis operate between Adler/Sochi and the resort.

- If skiing, take the first gondola of the day to access higher runs before lift lines form; in summer, ride the cableways early to reach alpine walking routes and viewpoints.
- Use the Rosa Khutor valley gondolas from the lower village rather than driving up narrow mountain roads - the main lift system gives the quickest and most direct access to the upper ridge and trail network.
- Outside peak holiday periods, explore the lesser-used summer trails above the resort-the alpine meadows and high-altitude viewpoints are quieter than the resort plaza and lifts where most visitors linger.
