Roorkee is easily accessed by rail on the Delhi-Dehradun corridor or by a short road transfer from Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport. Frequent trains and buses make it a straightforward destination for day trips from Dehradun, Haridwar or Delhi.

Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun (DED): Dehradun’s Jolly Grant is the nearest commercial airport to Roorkee (about 45-60 minutes by road); a taxi typically costs ₹800-1,500.

Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi (DEL): Delhi is a larger international gateway; road or rail transfer to Roorkee takes around 3-4 hours by car or train and taxi costs vary (₹1,500-3,500 by private car).

By Train & Bus
