The Rodna Mountains are accessed by road from nearby regional centres in northern Romania. Common starting points are the towns of Borșa and Rodna (Bistrița‑Năsăud/Maramureș region); drive from Bistrița or Baia Mare on regional roads to the national‑park trailheads.
