Rajabasa is a stratovolcano on the southern tip of Sumatra in Lampung province. It is a prominent volcanic cone in the region and part of the Sunda Arc.
The mountain offers steep cone slopes and forested lower flanks that attract hikers and local trekkers seeking summit and crater views. Trails lead through tropical vegetation to open ridgelines with wide views toward the surrounding lowlands and the nearby coast.
Rajabasa formed through subduction-related volcanism typical of the Sunda Arc. Its volcanic edifice has the layered structure of a stratovolcano and has been mapped and studied by Indonesian geological agencies.
The volcano sits near the southern coastline of Sumatra within Lampung province, at the island’s southern end. The surrounding landscape is a mix of coastal plains and volcanic high ground.
