Rahmi M. Koç Museum
Museum Industrial and transport museum on Istanbul's Golden Horn
A private industrial museum on the Golden Horn showcasing transport and engineering collections-vintage cars, boats, trains and hands-on exhibits; visitors come for mechanical history and waterfront views in Istanbul.
The Rahmi M. Koç Museum is a private museum of transport, industry and communications located on the northern shore of Istanbul’s Golden Horn in the Hasköy neighbourhood. It was founded by industrialist Rahmi M. Koç and opened to the public in 1994.
Exhibits span vintage automobiles, industrial machinery, maritime objects and historical scientific instruments, displayed across restored waterfront warehouses and outdoor quays. The site also operates hands-on displays and a conservation workshop where restoration work and demonstrations take place.
The museum occupies converted 19th- and early 20th-century waterfront buildings and quays that were adapted for exhibition use during the late 20th century by the founder. The collections were assembled from private and institutional sources and arranged for public display and education.
The museum sits on the northern shore of the Golden Horn in Hasköy, on Istanbul’s European side, with views over the inlet and convenient access from central districts across the city.
