How to Get to Quthing
Quthing is a southern Lesotho town reached primarily by road after arriving at Moshoeshoe I (MSU) or via South African hubs. Road transfers across the border or from Maseru are the only realistic option - services can be slow on mountain roads.
Moshoeshoe I International Airport (MSU): Lesotho’s main airport near Maseru. From MSU to Maseru centre is roughly 20-30 minutes by taxi (around ZAR 100-200) or cheaper via shared vans (ZAR 30-80). From Maseru you must travel by road to Quthing.
OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) / Bloemfontein Airport (BFN): Many international itineraries route through South Africa; coach services run to Maseru (≈4-5 hours from JNB) with fares around ZAR 200-400. From Maseru onward bus/minibus or private transfer to Quthing (several hours).
