Quinta Vergara

Quinta Vergara is a public park and cultural complex in the city of Viña del Mar on Chile’s Pacific coast, notable for its gardens, palace and outdoor performance space. The site includes a historic residence and an amphitheatre used for large public events.

Within the park the Palacio Vergara houses a municipal fine arts collection and exhibition rooms, while the Quinta Vergara Amphitheatre is an open-air venue used for concerts and the annual Viña del Mar International Song Festival. Visitors also encounter landscaped gardens and tree-lined promenades.

The estate originated as a private nineteenth-century property owned by the Vergara family and was later converted into a public park and cultural site. The palace and park have been used for municipal cultural programming since becoming public.

Quinta Vergara sits in central Viña del Mar close to the city’s residential and coastal districts, within easy reach of the city’s beaches and main avenues.
