Terminal layout: Queen Alia operates from one main passenger terminal with separate landside and airside areas for check-in, immigration and baggage reclaim. Queen Alia is about 30-35 km south of central Amman; typical travel time by car is 30-45 minutes outside peak traffic. Taxis and private transfers are the most common ways to reach Amman; use the official taxi counter inside arrivals to arrange metered or fixed‑fare rides. App‑based ride services such as Careem operate in Amman and can pick up from the airport. There are also shuttle/minibus operators and hotel shuttles - frequency and booking requirements vary by provider. Driving to Amman is straightforward via the Desert Highway (signposted) and takes roughly the same 30-45 minutes in normal traffic.

The terminal provides standard full‑service airport facilities including duty‑free shopping, cafés and restaurants both landside and airside. There are airline and independent lounges including Royal Jordanian’s main lounge for eligible passengers. Free airport Wi‑Fi is available (registration required); there are charging points around gate areas. Accessibility services are provided on request - counters and assistance are available in the main terminal. Baggage trolleys and information desks are located in the arrivals and departures halls.
