How to Get to Al-Muwaqqar
Al-Muwaqqar is a locality in the Amman Governorate near the Desert Highway south of central Amman. Most visitors arrive via Queen Alia International Airport and continue by taxi, private transfer or intercity bus along the desert highway.
Queen Alia International Airport (AMM): Jordan’s main international airport south of Amman. From AMM you can take the Airport Express bus or a taxi to central Amman (Abdali/2nd Circle) in 30-50 minutes, then continue by taxi or bus toward Al-Muwaqqar depending on location.
Amman-Marka (AMM? / OBI - Marka military/limited): Marka (Amman Civil Airport) handles limited regional flights; most international visitors use Queen Alia and transfer by road to locations around Amman and the desert highway.
Train: Jordan has no extensive passenger rail service for intercity travel; rail is effectively not an option to reach Al-Muwaqqar.
Bus: JETT and local service buses run between Queen Alia/Amman and towns along the Desert Highway; shared taxis (service taxis) and local buses serve smaller communities. Bus fares inside Jordan are modest (a few JOD) but schedules vary by route.
