The Pyramid of Teti is the burial pyramid of the Sixth Dynasty pharaoh Teti, located at the Saqqara necropolis in Egypt. The pyramid survives primarily as a ruined superstructure and archaeological remains of its substructures and surrounding mortuary installations.
On site visitors encounter the ruined pyramid platform and archaeological traces of adjoining temple structures and access passages; the monument is one of several royal pyramids and tombs that make Saqqara a major archaeological landscape. Many features are visible only as foundations or excavated chambers.
Built for Pharaoh Teti in the Old Kingdom, the complex formed part of the royal funerary tradition of pyramid plus mortuary cult installations; the site experienced stone robbing and deterioration over the millennia before modern excavations recorded its remains.
The pyramid is situated in the Saqqara necropolis to the south of the Giza area, within the greater Memphite burial zone in Giza Governorate.
