The Pyramid of Djedkare-Isesi is an Old Kingdom pyramid built as the burial complex for Pharaoh Djedkare Isesi of the Fifth Dynasty.
The monument formed part of a larger mortuary complex that originally included a mortuary temple, causeway and subsidiary structures; today much of the superstructure survives only as ruined core masonry and rubble.
It was built in the late 25th to 24th century BC during the Fifth Dynasty and is located within the pyramid field of the Memphite necropolis.
The pyramid sits on the Saqqara plateau in Lower Egypt, within the greater Giza/Governorate area of the Memphite necropolis south of modern Cairo.
