How to Get to Puteaux

Puteaux sits immediately west of La Défense and is extremely well connected to Paris by Transilien, RER A and multiple bus/tram lines. Airports CDG and ORY are the main entry points; from there use the RER/Transilien network or taxis to reach Puteaux quickly.

By Air

Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG): From CDG, take RER B into Paris and change to RER A or Transilien services toward La Défense; total journey time to La Défense/Puteaux is about 45-60 minutes and the single ticket CDG→Paris costs €10.30. Taxis to Puteaux/La Défense typically cost around €50-70.

Paris Orly (ORY): From Orly use the Orlyval shuttle to Antony and RER B, then change to RER A toward La Défense or use Orlybus + metro combinations; journey time to La Défense/Puteaux is about 40-60 minutes and fares for Orlyval+RER are around €12-14. Taxis are usually €35-55.

By Train & Bus

Train: Puteaux is served directly by the Transilien L line (Gare de Puteaux) and is adjacent to La Défense (RER A, Metro 1, Transilien L, Tram T2). From Paris Saint-Lazare to Puteaux is a short suburban train ride (10-15 minutes) and single Transilien tickets within Paris cost around €1.90-€3 depending on origin.

Bus / Tram: RATP buses and the tram T2 at La Défense provide frequent services through Puteaux and across the western suburbs. A single t+ ticket in Paris costs €2.10 (or use Navigo passes for unlimited travel within chosen zones).
