Pura Rambut Siwi is a Balinese sea temple on the western coast of Bali in Jembrana regency, positioned on a rocky promontory overlooking the Bali Sea. The temple is an active place of worship with shrines arranged along the shoreline and is known for its coastal setting and ocean views.

One of Bali’s largest Hindu structures, Pura Rambut Siwi stands far out in the west of the island in the quiet Negara regency. Despite its distance from the main highlights it is straightforward to reach, sitting just off the Denpasar-Gilimanuk highway, and its cliff-top setting overlooking the Indian Ocean is the main draw.

A winding path and a stone stairway link the temple to its older locale below, Pura Penataran, where a painting exhibition now resides. Nearby is a cave sheltering a small shrine along with the temple’s duwe, its holy beast. Tradition holds that the temple was moved up to its present, higher position so that worshippers might be closer to God.
