Pulau Jong
Island Remote rocky islet with steep cliffs, no habitation
Pulau Jong is a small, uninhabited rocky islet southeast of mainland Singapore, also known locally as Junk Island. The islet is notable for its sheer cliffs and lack of beaching areas.
The islet is of interest to divers and boaters for the surrounding marine environment rather than for onshore facilities, and it receives only occasional visits. There are no permanent structures or settlements on the islet.
Pulau Jong lies in the Singapore Strait to the southeast of the main island of Singapore and is one of a number of small offshore islets administratively associated with Singapore.
- Access: Landing is difficult because of steep rocky shores, so most approaches are by small boat and visits are generally brief.
