Historical Site 19th-century coastal battery overlooking strategic waters
One of Gibraltar’s historic coastal gun batteries on the Upper Rock, part of the fortress network; attracts visitors interested in military architecture and elevated harbour views.
Princess Caroline’s Battery is a named artillery battery on the Rock of Gibraltar and is part of the territory’s historic defensive network. It occupies a position overlooking parts of the harbour and bay.
The battery is one of several fixed gun positions visitors encounter when exploring Gibraltar’s fortifications and walking trails. It provides vantage points for views across the harbour and adjacent coastal areas.
