Piskent is a small town in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent Region, functioning as a local agricultural and market center serving nearby Tashkent communities. It sits at the doorstep of the Ugam-Chatkal range, making it a practical base for low-key village life and nearby mountain escapes.
In town, the Piskent Central Bazaar focuses on farm produce, dairy, and traditional Uzbek staples, while the Piskent mosque serves as a community gathering point during Friday prayers. Beyond the streets and small shops, easy nature breaks include riverside picnic spots along quiet riverbanks and nearby orchards and gardens where fresh cherries and apricots are sold.
For bigger outings, Ugam-Chatkal National Park offers alpine valleys, trekking routes, and diverse flora, and Chimgan and Charvak Reservoir combine hiking with swimming and picnic spots. If you add time in Tashkent, Chorsu Bazaar is a historic central market known for its blue-domed building, and the Amir Timur Museum is dedicated to the conqueror Timur.
