How to Get to Pegeia#
Pegeia (Coral Bay area) is best reached via Paphos International Airport; Larnaca is a longer overland transfer. There is no train network in Cyprus, so buses and taxis are the main public options. For door-to-door convenience, taxis or pre-booked transfers are quickest; for a budget option use the Paphos town bus and the Coral Bay/Pegeia local service.
Paphos International Airport (PFO): Paphos Airport is the closest major airport (≈15-25 km to Pegeia). Taxi from the terminal to Pegeia/Coral Bay takes about 20-30 minutes and typically costs €20-€35. A cheaper option is to take the local bus into Paphos town and transfer to a local bus to Coral Bay/Pegeia (total journey 40-60 minutes).
Larnaca International Airport (LCA): Larnaca is further away (≈130-160 km). If you arrive at Larnaca you can take intercity buses or a private transfer to Paphos then a local connection to Pegeia; travel time is typically 1.5-2.5 hours depending on service and transfers.
Train: Cyprus has no national rail network.
Bus: Public buses are the main public-transit option. From Paphos International you can take a bus to Paphos central bus station and then the local 615 (or seasonal services) to Coral Bay/Pegeia; the Paphos town to Coral Bay leg is about 20-30 minutes and fares are modest (typically a few euros). Intercity buses connect Paphos with Larnaca and Limassol; check the Cyprus public transport or OSY timetables for up-to-date routes and seasonal timetables.
How to Get Around Pegeia#
Public buses are the budget way to get around Pegeia and to/from Paphos, but schedules can change seasonally-check timetables. Taxis and rental cars are recommended if you need flexibility or travel outside main service hours.

- Public bus (Paphos local 615 and others) (€1.50-€3) - Local bus 615 (and seasonal variations) links Paphos town and Coral Bay/Pegeia; expect about 20-30 minutes from Paphos central bus station. Buses are cheap, reliable in season, and are the best budget option-carry exact change or buy tickets at kiosks where available.
- Intercity bus (to/from Larnaca, Limassol) (€5-€15) - Intercity buses connect the main cities to Paphos; from those hubs you transfer to the local Pegeia services. Useful if flying into Larnaca or traveling island-wide; services vary seasonally so check timetables in advance.
- Car hire (€25-€70 per day (rental) + fuel) - Car hire is common and gives the most flexibility to explore the Paphos district and coastline. Roads are generally good; parking in Coral Bay/Pegeia can be seasonal and busy in summer-plan accordingly.
