Peebles Island State Park is a small state park located at the confluence of the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers near the village of Waterford in New York. The park protects riverfront land, historic industrial archaeology and provides trails for walking and river viewing.
Visitors use the park’s short trail network to access waterfront viewpoints and to view remnants of 19th- and early 20th-century industrial and canal-era structures along the rivers. Interpretive signage explains elements of the site’s industrial past.
The park lies at the junction of the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers, adjacent to the New York State Canal System and a short drive from the city of Troy and the town of Waterford.
