Peace Arch Park

Peace Arch Park is a binational recreational park centered on the Peace Arch monument at the Canada-United States border between Surrey, British Columbia and Blaine, Washington. The site commemorates peaceful relations and sits directly astride the international boundary.

The park comprises two adjoining managed parcels - Peace Arch Provincial Park on the Canadian side and Peace Arch State Park on the U.S. side - with lawns, walking paths and picnic areas that meet at the monument. The arch itself is a white concrete monument dedicated in 1921 and located on the boundary line.

The location functions as both a local park and a symbolic international meeting point; visitors often come to view the arch, hold ceremonies or use the bordering green spaces. Because the site sits on an international boundary visitors should be aware that normal customs and immigration procedures apply if they leave the park into the neighboring country.
