Parque García Sanabria

Parque García Sanabria is the principal public park in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the Canary Islands, inaugurated in 1926 and named after Mayor José García Sanabria. It serves as the city’s main urban green space.

The park features formal flowerbeds, tree-lined promenades, a prominent floral clock, fountains and a bandstand, and is frequently used for short walks, photography and municipal events. These elements are arranged across several planted terraces and paths that cross the park.

The park was laid out and opened in the early 20th century as a planned public garden and has been maintained as the city’s central park since its inauguration. Over time it has become one of Santa Cruz’s most recognisable civic spaces.
