How to Get to Pärnu
Pärnu is usually reached via Tallinn (Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport, TLL) with onward coach connections; Pärnu Airport exists but has limited services. Frequent intercity buses from Tallinn are the most convenient public option.
Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport (TLL): Tallinn’s airport is the primary international gateway for Pärnu; from TLL take a taxi to Pärnu (approx. €55-70, ~1h 30m) or an intercity bus from Tallinn Bus Station (see By Train & Bus).
Pärnu Airport (EPU): Pärnu has a small airfield (Pärnu Airport) with limited or seasonal services; check current schedules if you prefer direct flights into Pärnu.
Train: Pärnu currently has no direct national passenger rail service to Tallinn; the rail connection was suspended for regular passenger traffic.
Bus: Intercity buses (Lux Express, express coaches) run frequently from Tallinn Bus Station to Pärnu bus station; travel time about 1.5-2 hours and fares typically €6-€12 depending on operator and booking time.
How to Get Around Pärnu #
Pärnu is very walkable in the centre and along the beach promenade; in summer much of the town is best explored on foot or by bike. Local buses cover the wider area and regional coach services link to Tallinn and other Estonian towns-fares are a few euros. Taxis are available but more expensive; bike rentals are common in the tourist season.
