Paramillo National Natural Park is a protected area in northern Colombia in Córdoba Department that conserves montane and high-Andean ecosystems. It forms part of Colombia’s National Natural Parks system and protects important watershed areas.

The park contains cloud forest, upper montane vegetation and high ridges that support a range of Andean flora and fauna; the terrain includes rivers and streams draining the Paramillo massif and adjacent slopes. It is used for nature observation and low-impact trekking rather than mass tourism.

The area was set aside for protection under Colombia’s national parks framework and is managed by Parques Nacionales Naturales de Colombia to conserve biodiversity and watershed values. Protection has focused on preventing deforestation and safeguarding habitat connectivity in the Cordillera Occidental.

The park sits within Córdoba Department on the western slopes of the northern Andes (Cordillera Occidental). It is accessed from local municipalities in Córdoba and lies within a relatively remote, mountainous landscape.

  • Management: Administered by Colombia's National Natural Parks system (Parques Nacionales Naturales de Colombia).
  • Ecosystems: Conserves montane and high-Andean ecosystems including cloud forest and upper montane vegetation that are important for regional watersheds and biodiversity.
  • Access: Access is limited and facilities are minimal, so visits typically require planning with local authorities or guides.
