Palazzo Uguccioni

Palazzo Uguccioni is a Renaissance palace on the east side of Piazza della Signoria in Florence, Italy. It dates to the 16th century and is noted for its classical, columned façade facing the main civic square.

The palace is primarily notable for its exterior: a three-story classical façade with pilasters and a symmetrical arrangement of windows that contrasts with the medieval buildings around the square. The building stands directly opposite the Palazzo Vecchio and the Loggia dei Lanzi, making the Piazza della Signoria the best place to view it.

Commissioned by the Uguccioni family in the 16th century, the façade has traditionally been attributed to Renaissance masters including Raphael, though scholarly opinion varies. The palace has retained its prominent street-front role through subsequent centuries and remains part of the historic fabric of Florence’s civic center.
