The Palacio de Cristal del Retiro is a glass and iron exhibition pavilion in Madrid’s Parque del Buen Retiro, built in the late 19th century and inspired by the Crystal Palace in London. Its transparent structure sits beside a small pond and is used for temporary art installations and exhibitions.

The building’s construction employs a metal framework with extensive glazing to create a lightweight, luminous interior suited for botanical displays originally and for contemporary art today. It is a compact, single-volume structure popular for photography and short visits.

The Palacio de Cristal is located within Parque del Buen Retiro in central Madrid, set beside one of the park’s artificial lakes and green spaces.
