Real Jardín Botánico is on Paseo del Prado in central Madrid beside the Museo del Prado. The nearest main rail/metro hub is Atocha (Cercanías and Metro Line 1); from Atocha station it is an approximately 5-10 minute walk west along Paseo del Prado to the garden entrance at Plaza de Murillo. Several city buses run along Paseo del Prado and stop close to the museum and garden.

• Go early on a weekday to avoid school groups and mid‑day tour crowds; the garden opens earlier than neighboring museums and is quiet in morning light.
• Enter from the Plaza de Murillo/Prado side to combine the visit with the Museo del Prado (short walk) and save time between sites.
