Oxford Circus

Oxford Circus is the major road junction where Oxford Street and Regent Street meet in central London, within the city’s West End shopping district.

The junction is one of London’s busiest pedestrian and retail nodes and incorporates a large Underground interchange. The street-level crossing was modified to a diagonal pedestrian ‘scramble’ configuration in 2009 to improve pedestrian flow.

The surrounding area is dominated by high-street retailing and large department stores, and the station below serves as a key transport interchange on the Bakerloo, Central and Victoria lines.

Oxford Circus lies in the City of Westminster in central London, roughly midway along Oxford Street between Tottenham Court Road and Marble Arch.
