The Open Hand Monument in Chandigarh is a large public sculpture designed by Le Corbusier and intended as a civic emblem for the city. It is located within the Capitol Complex, the administrative heart of Chandigarh.

Conceived by Le Corbusier during the planning of Chandigarh in the mid-20th century, the Open Hand embodies his stated motto of being “open to give, open to receive.” The piece became an emblem of the city’s modernist plan and civic identity.
