One World Trade Center

One World Trade Center is a skyscraper on Manhattan’s Lower West Side in New York City, constructed on the site of the original World Trade Center. Towering to a symbolic height of 1,776 feet including its spire, it is the tallest building in the United States.

The high-level public observation venue that offers broad views across Manhattan, the Hudson and East Rivers, and the harbour. The tower also contains office space and integrates into the rebuilt World Trade Center complex, including transport and memorial elements.

The building was designed and constructed in the years following the 2001 attacks as part of the site’s reconstruction and returned a primary office tower and civic presence to the location. Construction milestones and safety, security and memorial planning were important aspects of the project’s development.

One World Trade Center sits at the southern tip of Manhattan on the rebuilt World Trade Center site, directly adjacent to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and connected to the city’s transport network.
