The nearest larger airports in the region are Sochi (AER) in Russia and Kutaisi/Tbilisi in Georgia, but cross-border travel into Abkhazia from Georgia is restricted by Georgian law and complex in practice.

By Train & Bus

Overland access via Russia (Sochi region) is possible but subject to visa and border formalities.

From Georgia: Georgian authorities prohibit crossing the Russian/Abkhaz border by land in many cases; travel from Georgia to Ochamchire is therefore not recommended without checking up-to-date political and legal advice.
